Fix npm WARN checkPermissions Missing write access

What is the Issue with Nodemon or Permissions ?

I was trying to install nodemon using -g for global flag and I got the below error.

development % npm install -g nodemon

Solution To Fix

The simple solution that worked for me is to use sudo in front of the command. Blow is the command.

sudo npm install -g nodemon

You will need to enter password after this. This usually occurs, if you are using work computer and have administrator access restrictions setup.

Below is the confirmation we get.

/usr/local/bin/nodemon -> /usr/local/lib/node_modules/nodemon/bin/nodemon.js

> [email protected] postinstall /usr/local/lib/node_modules/nodemon
> node bin/postinstall || exit 0
